OLDsman105 Sep 17, 2007 09:41 AM

Headers burned up the electrical connector on the transmission. He has to take the whole tranny out to change the harness.

Not my day.

edit

I think I am going to be sick.

The connector inside is cooked?

Not your day? lol i get those everyday...ill sum up my weekend really quick for you just to make you feel better. Alpine Deck dies....brand new front silverstar bulbs die...great no headlights....Some stupid broad burns a whole in my tints with her fucking cigarette...oh and to top it off had my tires slashed yesterday. This happened all in one weekend.

PS tires had 80% tread left. I feel like killing myself.

Try getting your car sideswiped and having damage from the rear quater panel to the driver side mirror. One day afetr you got it back from the Transmisson shop that had the car for one month. Plus the stole the center caps on the rims.

Hold up....

This is a 4T60-E with a Connector on the front of the trans... How in the H*** did it fry the electrical connector inside the trans that it had to be removed?

Didn't you have that trans rebuilt not too long ago?

Possibly a bad rebuild and someone covering their A$$?

I demand pics of the "damage".

I want to cry BS on this one.... I think Don and Bill agree.... Not on what you're telling us, but what the tranny shop is telling you.

I have seen a few of the 60-E's that had some grounding issues that caused the trans to go dead or not shift..

But Burning up the connector.... I'm thinking major BS..

Burning up the Wires on the exterior is possible( maybe ).... and even then a person with a few light skills can easily splice in to the harness...

But Its would be extremely hard to fry all of the wires internally to require the removal of the trans..

Sounds like someone messed up a rebuild and is covering their A$$
