Default Headers

I've looked through a lot of info and would like some basic questions answered. (for my car)

What will larger headers do?

How much would they likely cost?

How hard are they to install?

Where would be a good place to get them? (Local store, ebay, etc)

Thanks in advance.

(toastedoats speaking from bills laptop at NEBF)

im assuming you arent supercharged... without a bunch of supporting mods, headers will do nothing but take off 3 ftlbs of torque and make 3 more HP at high RPMs... an NA motor, without some serious work will never need anything more than ported exhaust manifolds

Sorry, forgot to mention something. IF I were supercharged, what would it do? (I'm thinking about an engine swap)

even supercharged.. the headers wont do alot.... probably not even any gains unless you are running a cam.. even with headers, mi dont think that they will benefit you any more than ported manifolds would be nesessary without atlest a stage 2 cam.

Hmm...not sure I agree with this statement. Headers will allow your engine to breath better allowing you to move more air. In a boosted car this is critical. Headers will make as much as a 20-40 hp difference in a boosted application and more with supporting mods. It is not a first mod I would do as its pricy (500-700 dollars) but at a certain point you need them to progress in power. They will lower your bottom end torque but increase your upper end hp and the torque can be recovered by going to a smaller pulley.
