once again...adding shift buttons to a car without

I posted about this awhile back, but it turned out the switch was the problem

This time, i have working performance and normal shift buttons, and darned if i can't tell any difference between the two modes. The leds will change between the two modes, but i watch the tach and can't tell any difference. It definitely still shifts at 5500 WOT in both modes, and i can't feel any lowered shift points in normal mode during light and heavy acceleration. (not that this is really a problem...i bought the buttons to have more buttons to push and lights to light)

I have the buttons installed in my car and to be honest, since i put them in i have never done a WOT run in both modes  I shall investigate

i notice no difference either..but i always run in performance mode...

its nice to have the option i guess :)

How'd you do that without a console?

I don't have them, and I wouldn't want them, unless i had a PCM with a higher then stock Shift point for the performance setting.

Remember Performance is the same as cars without it, "Normal" is just dumbed down.

Hey i have mine lit up as well, and my TC is a starter. Just dont' do much yet..

However the lighting is on and off. Might need to check the harness, as I soldered the connections.. :?

1993SLE has a center console....

oh whoops i was thinking of twister's car.

for the intermittant lighting, did you try re-bending the contacts on the miniature light bulbs?

I'm gonna wait on that till it's warmer. Then again depending on how my alternator swap is going i may dig in.

The option just lowers the shift point with a resister to see if it just went out on you get a voltameter and check the resistance
