Okay, here it is...

I run AutoCAD for a living...and I am wanting to do a design that takes only 3/4" of space between the supercharger and the lower intake, uses the R(whatever) lines for the a/c that runs, without ribs, save for a single rib for aerodynamic flow, three or four tubes in the intake flow. Side view would be like:

If that makes any sense. Any way, what would be the repercussions of using the compressor line to cool the intake air?? (I bet they already have that... )

A/C for the S/C

The new Ford Lighting uses the a/c system to cool the intake charge air.The computer senses WOT and turns the a/c on that is part of the intercooler system for a 35 HP boost OVER the stock boost HP for up to 30 seconds :!: I never saw it but I red the article in a magazine. That must be nice, too bad we don't even get the intercooler on ours  I guess the HP robbing effect of the a/c on is overcome by the more HP due to the cold air charge.

Okay...Any more opinions?? :feedback:

Hey Wildman.....Back when I did my SC rebuild, I put my outlet gasket into CAD.

Can you guess why? I think I still have the file. It's a 3D solid model, but I can convert it for you if you want it.

That would be AWESOME!! :D I run AutoCAD 2004, and the 3D model would be ideal, thanks!!! Can you email it to me?

Give me your top 3 preferences on format. I run co-create designer modeling.

You mean like dwg or dxf?

This is a good idea,
So your going to mill a 3/4" plate and connect to the ac that would fit between the supercharger and lower intake? I wonder about the extra engine load the ac would need and the extra alternator load may cancel the benifits? If so you could always drop in an intercooler rad and electric pump for a more conventional setup?

That's what I was wondering, too. It's still in the R&D stage right now, of course, but I'm thinking about a couple other ways to cool the air more than the ac would...but I definitely am trying to go with the least load on the engine, if any...

...and I may need to invest in a Gtech, or something to gauge the differences.
