New Trans
Well 3 weeks ago my trans let go. A torrington bearing let go and flew through the diff destroying the planetary gears. Damn that was noisy. Got my Thrasher tranny with high stall converter, and 3.29 gears and installed it today. Boy what a difference. Once the pcm gets redone the car should haul pretty good.

When the cam was put in, the power output increased big time. I figured it would let go sooner than later. Now with the higher stall extra clutches and 3.29 gearing it should hold up. Just have to get used to the neck snapping shifts with the shift kit set on kill. I may have to lower thre kit setting alittle. I'll give it a few miles to break in and see what happens. Although nothing like scratching the tires on the 1-2 and 2-3 shift.

I hear ya! Hard shifts rule! Your car sounds sweet!
Did you go with the single chain or stick with the double?
I plan on doing a shift kit on my Bonnie this summer among other basic mods. I'm not gonna put a cam in it until my warranty is up in Jan 2006 beacuse I know it will kill the tranny and the dealer will definitely hear that cam, and there'* no way I'll get warranty on that!

I'm not sure, but I think it is the single link chain. They said it should take what ever I throw at it. Rockers were OK slight power increase, and the dealer will never find them. The cam was the best of all, love all of the lope. Just need some good exhaust so it soulds better.

I've heard nothing but great things about Thrasher trannies. Did you do anything to the turbine shaft? I know that Intense sells a "bulletproof" version, does Thrasher have anything similar?
