O2 sensor
I've been advised by a friend and some people on the forums to get a new O2 sensor due to my poor mileage (around 17mpg) and other things. Is there anyone who gotten a new one that can suggest what's the best to get. I'm fairly new to mechanical aspects of my car, so I appreciate the help. Thanks

You should have a three wire (heated) O2 sensor. I would go with either OEM (delco) or a Bosch. Delco would actually be my first choice.

NOT BOSCH !!!! Just ask Will.. they are crap.. stay away from them like a riced out plague...

Oops! I have used Bosch plugs (which are real crap) and Bosch O2 sensors (in my VW Cabriolet). I didn't have any problems with the O2 sensor--just the plugs (three months and I had to replace them again in my Bonneville.--Before I was a member here. I learned the hard way.)

I can tell you definitively that the Bosch O2 sensors SUCK for 2 reasons: #1 they die very quickly, get very slow reacting very quickly and make the puter struggle to maintain closed loop, and #2 they *always* read a lower voltage than they should, making you run richer. Go with OE! Dan |
I have had a Bosch for over a year now and it runs just fine...but you can't go wrong with AC-Delco.

I have to agree with the group, replaced mine with an ACDelco, and the difference is amazing. Lots of fun to change also.....
