O.R. pushrods VS Factory
What are the benefits and differences between factory and Oil restricted pushrods?

More pressure being pushed through them, therefore better oil distribution under the valve covers.

My new pushrods are restricted, but not to the extent of INTENSE's S2 rods. Mine were made custom for me by the same company that makes theirs. |

Talk to INTENSE about Lifters and Valve Springs when you do the rockers and pushrods. You'll probably want OE-R series lifters and stronger springs. It's really a whole package.

I've heard that the OE-R lifters tend to tick and new stockers were going to be my choice. What type of lifters are you going to be using Will? |
CompCams OE non-R lifters. But my pushrods are slightly oil restricted. OE are supposed to be a performance upgrade to OEM lifters, more durable, more consistent with raised shift points.

FWIW, I have stock lifters and pushrods on my GT with 90lb. valvesprings and I have spun it to 6800rpm on numerous occasions without any problems at all, doesn't seem to have any valve float, and makes very good power at those rpms as well. |
