Default Dyno Day

Alright well a local shop had a cheap dyno day, so I went with a buddy with his mustang and I decided to run the bonnie, here what it pulled this was the best one out of the three, (car 1995 ssei, series 1, cai, smaller supercharger pulley, exhaust,) now are these normal numbers or is something wrong?

Run 1
173.9 Hp, Max Torque 247.8, cf 0.98 RPM/Speed 67.27 (5100 rpm)
(max torque was at 3675 rpm)

Run 2
190.2 Hp. Max Torque 239.8, cf 0.98, RPM/Speed 66.17 (5070 rpm)
(max torque was at 3830 rpm)

Everyone that was watching the sound was crazy but for the horsepower im kinda turned off I thought for sure it would be in the low 200 range, but i guess 190 at the wheels is really well for a v6? Let me know hopefully willwren can chime in and give out some pointers

Those numbers are normal for a stock L67.

With a 2.5 pulley you should be pulling at least 2lbs more boost than normal, they say every 10lbs of boost is 5-10HP.

Its possible you could have KR thats canceling out the gains of the smaller pulley.

300FT LBS of torque is not bad.....thats about what you have at the crank it seems like in that first run. 230HP or so according to the second run.

Both series I and series II seem to pull higher than normal torque ratings on a dyno, SSEi95 had his car dynoed as well...you can search for the thread.

What type of dyno was it?
If it was a mustang dyno they read lower #*.

Did you happen to get an a/f reading during the pulls?

Mine dynod just barely higher than you (mid 190'*) with about the same mods. Mine did feel like torwue was way up there though, but unfortunetly their dyno was acting up that day and wouldn't spit out those numbers.

My airfuel was good the whole time, not to rich or lean, I was kinda surprised at the 190 but I guess thats not bad for a 3600 pd v6? Im going to try and get a chip and take it back, the guy the owns the dyno was telling me that the local police around here back in the day used to have a95 ssei and a police car, also the guy does tuning and he said he could probably get another 10-20 hp from it, ill see what come out with the chip first., thanks for all your replies

190 at the wheels is a good ammount.
Considering drivetrain loss and such...i forget the percentage we factor in...?anyone?
To get it to 200 hp at the wheels your going to need around 25 more crank I would suspect...general rule of thumb. Once the Series 1 is awkae, its hard to put it to sleep, unless you collapse something in the valve train, then it gets tired, right Bill?

IIRC you lose 15-25% from crank to wheels.
