Turbo Regal Update
I've been making a turbo log setup for my buddies Regal GS for a while now.
There isn't any immediate rush so I do a little bit every once in a while.
Here is an old thread with just the logs tacked.
I fab and tacked the front & rear log, the crossover, the wastegate tube, and some of the 3" DP. Then recently my buddy had the front & rear logs, and the turbo flange TIGed but left the crossover tacked just in case there was any warping. There was a little bit. So, I'm going to make up for that before he brings it back to get welded.

The front and crossover:

In the car:
Nice and hidden wastegate:
I still have to make tranny to turbo brackets, something to support the DP away from the valvecover, complete the recirculating wastegate, and finish the DP. That should wrap up the hot side.
The cold side will be cake and I just have to work out all the nickel and dime stuff with the F-body manifold.
So waddya think?

I'm just curious, if the turbo wasn't there, would that be the ideal angle for N/A? I'm assuming smaller primaries for the N/A too..
And good job on the manifolds
And good job on the manifolds

For an n/a engine, it would be ideal to have 32-33" long 1.5" diameter primaries. (Yep smaller)
Thanks.

Nice job.
Sch.10S 304L stainless pipe is a great choice and the welds look very good.
Did you use TIG?
Use some pickling paste (phosphoric acid) to clean up the blueing in the heat affected zone to minimize surface rusting later. It will just look prettier longer.

Yep, that'* the earlier sytle F-body upper and lower. The later style dosen't angle the TB.
And yep the TIG welds came out great.
He had a local shop do it. I wish my TIG welds looked a quarter as good as that.
I just fab and tacked.
I'll look into the pickling paste.
Thanks.

In other words, the S1 Bonnie is a totally different animal.
No doubt a similar setup could be made for a L27 but it would NOT be cheap.
