new here...and performance question

hey everybody, im new here but not so new to chevy v8s..mainly tbi 350's. im going to be getting a 1996 chevy 5.7 vortec soon and have a few questions. 1) what should i check out in the shop before buying it? and 2) i want to put a performance programmer/module/chip on it and i was wondering what the best one is for this engine? i wont run higher octane fuel, so no chips that require that. any help would be much appreciated :thumbup2 thanks in advance!!

see my post in the the other thread, the 96's have to be programed, so you send your computer away or get someone local to do a custom tune which is the way to go. with the spider and that most beneficial would be trans stuff.

-.- I don't run any less then 93 in any vehicle I drive especially when I had my 97 5.7... Check rear main and if it's got it, the oil cooler connect
