More power
Well the car is a 92 SSEi. We bought the car from some guy who said it had the bigger charger on it with the small 92 pulley. My dad since done 3" high flow exhaust, K&N cone filter . Ok here is the problem..... i lost to a 99 4 door stock cavalier. This thing is a dog. Fells like it pulls nice off the line but thats it. It was pretty sad seeing the cavalier pull away.
So obviously there is something wrong here cause this is not how it should be. Now the SC is rattling and knocking like crazy so i know that needs changing. Now will the car lose so much power if the SC is toast like that? It still spins and drive the car daily but its slow as hell. Im using 94 octane from Sunnoco , i hear pinging at times as well even with the high octane used. I am stumped. Lots of little problems with the car but my dad wants to fix it and keep it.

A different SC requires other parts like a different TB etc. Your SC sounds like a big problem right now.
3" exhaust is too much right now for you. You're being robbed of even more low end torque, and only gaining marginally on the top end.
If you had the correct */C i'd recommend a high flow muffler and cat, a smaller pulley, and a set of colder plugs to start with.

We need more specifics on that SC and TB. Where did they come from? You could be running way to lean. Also need to know what other things are wrong with the car.
