rebuild parts questions
i am in the midst of building a new engine for my 2000 ssei, i have a newly rebuilt l67 block with polished crank, align honed mains, clevite bearings, deglazed cylinder walls, i know it'* not a race block but the car is still going to be adaily driver. i am using stock cylinder heads, stage 2 xp cam from zzp, a gen v blower, northstar tb, the few other items that i need to complete this build are: rocker package, lifters, headers, and all the hardware to go along with it, my question is: which ratio rocker arms should i go with for this cam? and also what # valve springs should i use? i know there are lots of different headers out there to, which ones fit on the bonneville the best? and one final thing which thickness of head gaskets should i use?

How'* ya gettin' on, b'y? Where'* ya from home? :P
Do you have the regular XP cam or the XPZ? If it'* the XP, ZZP recommends the Comp 105# springs. I'm not sure if adding rockers would change that, or if it'* even worth it. ZZP says that the XP cam is designed to max out the stock S2 heads, which is what you have. You may need to do P&P heads and LIM to see any gains. I'd email them. As far as headers go, I've only owned *&* (cheapies) for the S2 and they were great (big KR fighter) but most S2 guys go with the TOGs. They're probably better, I don't know.

i'm from the avalon peninsula, but i'm not a towny!
i emailed zzp and i haven't heard back from them yet, i was thinking about getting stage 2 cnc'd heads from zzp, but i fugured i'd try to max out the stock cylinder heads? or say screw it and buy the heads now and do it right! i want to get a intercooler for it to, i think that'll have to wait, $$... i'll just run the stock pulley, and the cam i was lookin at gettin was the xp hot cam. i think i'm gonna try slp headers from intense, i only want to rebuild this engine once so i wanna make sure i got it right.

probably in a couple of weeks when i get all the parts in my hands so i can go through the checklist to make sure i got it right, i'm having the engine built by a guy that specializes in grand nationals, hes already done a bit of work for me in the past, i'd do it myself if i had a garage! but the block is comin with the bottom end already assembled, shes gonna be a beast when it'* done, i gotta bet goin with my buddy and his 02 camaro ss... lol.
