i personally dont like the forum views on this topic. most people wioll tell you not to weaste your time and to sell your car and buy an SSEi.

The swap is definately do able, but you have to keep in mind the large budget that you will need (2400 i believe it was when i calculated it) and then the lack of a HD transmission that will likely have problems with the new-found 40-hp

in MY opinion, your best bet would be to buy a donor car and swap the engine and tranny, this can easily be done for about 1000 bucks and a few days in the garage

Well, I just took the time to go through the ZZp info provided on their site as to what items are really needed to do this swap, along with the costs as defined on ZZP.

Here'* what I found (don't jump all over me if I missed something as this was a few minutes of reading, not a research project, OK?):

$600 - Modified Gen III M90 SS Blower
$200 - SS Install Kit
$360 - SS Fuel Rails
$175 - SS Modified LIM
$ 35 - LIM Gasket
$120 - Pulley System mod kit
$ 25 - New Serpentine Belt
$ 10 - PCM Programing Upcharge (handling related, I believe)
$100 - 50 - Estimated miscellaneous parts and pieces and shipping charges.
-------------------------------
$1,625 - Estimated total parts cost for upgrade

BTW, ZZP states 60 HP improvement, and claim that the HP alone will not make your 4T60E trans fail. I can't really argue with the basic idea behind that.

It is certainly an interesting approach, as we all know that the L36 has higher compression and therefore higher boost potential.
Is it the least expensive way to go? No.
Is it the lowest risk way to go? Probably not.
Does it have a legitimate place in the market? Most certainly.

Note that it has not yet been tested on a Bonneville.

We saw a GP at the track in Oregon that was claiming to be the only ZZP kit at the time.

He ran darn fast...but was far from stock beyond that SS kit.

Well since you have a 95, zzp can't give you an off the shelf chip for the install..
And it would be far from safe running around on the stock tune. There is chip programer that could do a chip for you but you will need a good scan tool and lots of data.
