motor mounts and tranny mounts?
 

Hi people,I am new to the forum and to bonnevilles so bare with me please. I have just bought a 2000 bonneville se and was woundering if anyone makes aftermarket tranny and motor mounts for these cars? Mine are a little sloppy and would like to tighten things up a bit. thanks

You can also buy the OEM replacements from gmpartsdirect or other online seller, if that's what you want.

I am not currently aware of any perfomance aftermarket mounts though.

However..having driven a couple of 2K's myself.. that front mount can make them feel odd.. even when it's still good.

yes, even a good stock mount on my SE feels a bit mushy at times

So do most feel it is better to make a (puck mount) or go with a factory one. It has way to much give. I would like to thank everyone for such a fast response.

I tried to replace(On my 01'SSEi) what I thought to be a motor mount.Ended up being a trans mount after comparing parts at Auto Zone.The trans mount was a little more expensive.

i like the fact that no one who has built a solid mortor mount has taken it out and said H*** NO WORST MOD I EVER DID !
i like mine (100,000+ miles on it). lift the hood, rock the car(back and forth) in park, see all that movement
that is not good for all the fule lines, electrical lines, exhaust pipe so on and so on.
it will also help the torque steer. it will help put the power to the ground.
i made a 3" wide motor mount for my car, but i made a 2 1/2" wide motor mount for a friend and it works just as GOOD.
we used a 2 1/2" hole saw and cut holes (wafers) out of the sidewall of an old truck tire. cost for his solid mount $0.00 and he has 40,000 miles with out any problems.

Can you guys "flip" your front motor mounts? Thats one of the best "Free" mods I did on my daily driver GTP.
