Question about the TPS mod
After reading the techinfo link for the TPS mod, still got a few questions from those instructions.
To remove the sensor with the TB still on the car, all I need is a T20 safety bit? (I heard someone using vice grips as well....)
Once the sensor is off, I can drill the two holes using a 1/4" bit, or just a little bigger then stock, right?
I only need two washers, one for each screw, and to adjust the volt reading, I just turn the sensor, or do I mess with something else?

I would find what size the holes are now and drill them a little larger than that. YOu have to drill out the metal insert thats in there first, I think the guide says something about that. I had some regular star washers laying around that I used, a hardware store would have what you need.
To adjust the reading, mount it to the car, plug it in, and turn on the ignition. If you do not have a scantool, the guide tells you which wires to splice into (I just cut a little of the insulation off and hooked my multimeter into them). When you are done cover the exposed wires with electrical tape and then put them back in their little plastic thing and secure with a little more tape just to be safe. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions that are 97 SE specific.
Just make sure you use a drill to get the metal inserts out, you CANNOT use a punch or something like that, I broke one of the holders this way.

Hrm, I think I'll resurrect this thread.
I had my car on the scantool a few weeks ago, and when I floored it I got a 100% throttle readout. Does this indicate that my TPS is adjusted properly and does not need to be modified? MyLittleBlackBird and I were debating whether I should still get in there and check voltages. Thanks.
