Okay, i am going to put one in. I want a high flow and i guess that would be the Magnaflow Carsound Cat. Right now i have about 4 feet of resonator and im thinking of getting all that removed and just puting in the cat. What are everyones thaughts on performance compared to no Cat and a performance cat?

Maybe 5hp at best, comparing stock cat to hi-flow, but it works better in concert with a performance muffler. You may want to re-think the resonator removal. Try some sound clips out in the sticky exhaust mods post at the top of this forum.

Well i have one very long resonator about 3.5 feet and the other one is about a foot. I was thinking of keeping the short one on but with the long one and the cat and the short resonator i think i will be too quiet for me. I might go with the cat, and the short resonator. The muffler guy told me i may gain some low end torque and it makes sense. I know i want to put on a cat that'* forsure, im just trying to think of what to expect in power gain/lose after putting one on compared to having none at all. And another question, how long do the performance cats last?

I always remember Scott Cook talking several years ago about putting a system on his car without a resonator. If I recall his words correctly, he said it sounded like a 4000 lb moped.

Im all for Cat'* I think its irresponsible when you run without them. A good one will be invisible to an engine and your doing you're part to help the environment.

I agree with Will.
Leave the resonator in............just remove the Cat.
That'* worth 10 hp.
