Default Custom Chip Reprogramming for pre-OBDII PCMs

A friend of mine recently brought to my attention that some people from the Bonneville community are having a hard time finding custom chips for their pre-OBDII (pre 1996) computers. It just so happens that I do custom chips for all of the pre-OBDII 3800'*. In fact, I am using a 95 Bonneville PCM in my Fiero which is successfully running my 3800 SERIES II engine with a turbo. Check out my website at http://www.gmtuners.com for more details. I also have some wiring diagrams available for download for free so be sure to visit that page if you need anything.

I think there are a few of us itching to get chips from you, I've still got a few mods I want to do before a chip

well let me know, I can do pretty much anything with even these earlier computers. Oh yea, I currently only charge $35 + $3 return shipping to reprogram your stock mem-cal.

can you get a hold of cores for us? I can't have the downtime... If you know the 4 digit code, do you need the specific memcal? Or can you just take that rom and load it into any of them?

the biggest issue with core mem-cals is the knock filter module is part of the mem-cal assembly. dispite this, however, you have a couple of options.

I can do a part number search for knock sensors and find out what year(*) used the same knock sensor. Then you could use ANY mem-cal from that compatibilty list. This would make it easier to find a used mem-cal from a junkyard. The problem is I don't have the time to go out to the junk yard and get the mem-cals, but I can supply you with a list of what cars you can get them from so you can get it.

-OR-

You can purchase a new mem-cal from GM. These usually cost $55.

I offer a service in which I can modify your stock mem-cal so you can switch out the EPROM chip without having to remove and send off the mem-cal for reprogramming. This means you would only have the downtime of that modification to the mem-cal. After I do the mod, I can send you individual chips that you can install yourself.
