Making Room for the CAI

I have the CAI installed, but i have yet to build the box around it. I need to make more room before I can though. So I have a few options i guess.

-Cut the pipe really short (But i don't really want to do that)
-Move the ELC Motor (Pat Suggested it, i don't know how much work would go into that...)
-Single Washer fluid Tank instead of the double (I'm looking into this one for the most part as it will free up the most space...)

What was the reasoning for the double tank, did it only provide for more washer fluid or was it for the headlight spray?

Heres a picture of what i'm working with:

the way it's positioned here the top of the filter is touching my hood liner, and has since sucked a hole in it. :?

It really depends on what you want, functionality vs. looks. A box looks really nice if you have the space but all you really need to do is double up some reflectix and just seal everything off to the head light. Make a back that seals to the washer tank, a bottom that seals to the tank and behind the headlight, and a side that seals with the back, bottom, and back of the headlight.

When I first did mine I made a nice box out of plexi glass and aluminum and I just ended covering it up with reflectix after looking at scan tool data. I found I got better (lower) temps by totally isolating the filter element to behind the headlight and wrapping the intake pipe to help prevent heat soak. If you want I can email you pictures of mine to help explain things.

The bigger washer tank was for the headlight washers. Most change out to a single tank and add then.
