By the time you have gone through it all it would have been easier and cheaper to do an engine swap...

Ever notice the first SC'd 3800'* were attached to the 4T60-E HD? Same goes for the 91 4.9 Caddy engine it too was attached to that trans..
In the end I think it would be easier to swap in a 93-99 powertrain( supercharged )... At least that way you can have everything you need to do the swap... and you will be able to use the larger Axles and newer mounts, and even then do we know if the 89 Bonnie has the provision for the Torque Axis Mount? We know the 90 does... And I think the 91 will too as it used the new parts just like the 91 Park Avenues and 92 Bonnevilles...

Supercharger
Well I was thinking of just putting a new engine and trany in, from a car with a supercharger.
The reason why is because my engine and trany has 190,000 miles on it. I know the engine and trany are still good for 60,000 miles but i can feel the trany slipping a little and the engine isn't acting up to par, so soon i am going to need a new engine anyway. And the extra miles i have left will give me time to save for the engine and trany.
I love this car... it was my mom'* untill i bought it form her. She said if i ever want to sell it I would have to sell it to her. My reply was " You are gonna have to rip it from my cold dead hands!" So I am willing to spend almost anything to fix my baby. I love the style the color I think it is the best looking bonneville ever do you agree??
