Default Bonneville SSEI

I've got a 2000 Bonneville SSEI with alittle over 138,000 miles. I was wondering what the stock Pulley size is on the Supercharger? Also what size Pulley can I add without making any major performance enhancements to the car. I just want alittle extra pop outta the car.

i beleive you can go to a 3.5 inch without further modding but from what ive heard it really may not be worth it to do just a pulley. Please dont quote me on this this is what ive gatherd it may not all be accurate(sorry if it isnt)

Stock pulley is 3.8" And I really don't suggest going lower with out supporting mods. The 2000+ tend to run lean and I've seen KR come up much sooner on the 2000+ You should be able to run a 3.6" safely, but every car is different. A 3.5" may also be OK, but without scanning for KR there is no way to say for sure.

Many people say you can drop to a 3.5 without any extra mods but whats the point if you cant get the full potential out of your mod. A cold air intake, and colder plugs along with a good tune will make that 3.5 worth your your while. Do some digging around the forum their are TONS of threads concerning this very mod.

What kind of scanner can be used to scan for KR? Also what should the maximum boost be with a stock 3.8 pulley?

Dropping to a 3.5" pulley will get you around 20hp or so, but ya, 1 range colder on the plugs, open up the intake a bit. Headers or a Plog is your best bet.

As for the scanner, it needs to have enhanced GM scanning to read KR. Most scanners do not have this. A aeroforce scan gauge is a good option.

Might take some modification, not a big deal. A custom intake is easy as well. Move the PCM over, and run a flex tube in to the wheel well with a K&N filter. There'* a write up or two in tech info about that.
