Supercharger Idea!!
I know this topic as mostly been beat to death but I was thinking the other day and something started to come to me. Would it be possible to put a supercharger on a SE engine if you put a bigger pully on it? And would it really add any perfomance? I know that when you put a smaller pully it gives more boost so if you put a bigger pully on it is should give less boost. What is the max boost a SE engine can take? I guess the main question would be would it be money well spent if this would work? Considering how much a supercharger costs would it be cost effective to put a SC on in or use the money in other mods to increase HP? Also would the tranny hold up if this worked?

Can't put one of the Eaton roots based Superchargers on a NA motor because the head/intake design is different.
I think the NA motor could probably handle the boost for a while with the right software and very high octane gas but there is no way to just bolt up the Eaton SC to the NA motor.

Yeah we've had this topic pop up here and there for about..forever, lol. I think we came to the conclusion that on a NA motor it would be easier/best to just put a turbo on it. I'm pretty sure that'* ur best bet. I think turbo would be cool to have also..it'* a little different on a domestic c ar to have a turbo. Good Luck.

After exiting the intercooler the air makes a 90 degree left turn up and into the throttlebody.

Heads are different. In several different ways. Can't remember which, but either the NA or the SC heads are taller. That means pushrods are probably a different length too, but I know the lifters and rockers are the same.

Don't forget the engine wiring harness. All the extra plumbing for the SC, a PCM from a SC car (to recognize the boost conditions), the trans (4T60E won't stand up to the torque a SC will give you).....and on and on.
Once again, by the time you do this, you could have saved the money, sold your car, and bought an SSEi.

very true, but....... the way it sounds, he just wants to add a SC, sorta like you would a centrifical SC on any NA engine, would defintly have to get a mini afc from zzp to richen up the air/fuel mixture, but other than that, no other wiring, the MAP sensor and the MAF sensor would pick up the pressure changes and the intake volume changes
