What benefits would I get from installing one of these on my car ? And would it effect my warranty on my car in any way ? I ask because one of my friends put a Intake on his 2002 Altima and now it makes a noticeable amount of noise and it also VOIDED his warranty on his car.....something was not known by him or he wouldn't have put it in. Any help here would be appreciated.

This intake will VOID YOUR WARRANTY....it should anyway, when you make mechanical modifications to a cars vital systems, the manufacturer will no longer guarantee that the system that they designed will continue to work.

However, wait til your time is up..keep the car and make your mods.

The intake has a top of the line K&N cone filter on a smooth powdercoated pipe, Hector Ty, and now Alan more info on what they can provide. This vastly eases the intake of air and rushes it to the TB with no obstructions or restrictions. It will get louder too....

5-10HP gain...I think....maybe more, but surely not less

Thanks for the info man...............I think I might wait until the warranty is up. But it does sound like a good investment down the road.

It will NOT void your warranty.. Well mine will not. You will not have to alter your car in a way that will compromise its function so actually the legal right as a owner you will not void a warranty. Your friend was fed a line of Bull and should look into the issue deeper. If you drill a hole or alter the original hardware it will void part of the waranty..but our unit can use Velcro to hold down the computer tray. Contac me if you have any questions. I ship over borders without extra cost to the consumer.

Default Intakes on 2000+ Bonnevilles

I have 2002 SSEi. You can use almost any of the cold air intakes available for the Pontiac GrandPrix or Regal GS equiped with the 3800 or 3800SC engine. I have a Thrasher Coldair intake it works and sounds great. You will need to have your installer cut it to fit the different shape of the Bonneville'* engine compartment. The SLP intake is also very good and looks almost stock, and should drop right in. I believe SLP also offers a warrany for any effected parts - which matches the GM 3 year 36K warranty. SLP is an almost factory endorsed tuner. You use to actually be able to order an SLP GTX package for the grand prix from the dealer, in addition to thier legendary FireHawk package for the Firebird.
