Default '94 SSE Increase HP?

I have a '94 SSE with 109,000 miles, good condition. Here is what I have done so far: 180 stat., new wires, plugs, 2 new coils (1 had bad resistance), O2 sensor, performance intake, resurfaced and replaned intake, hi flow cat. and muffler, etc.

What else can I do to increase performance without investing alot of money?

You seem to have done a good amount so far. If your intake is just an open cone filter now, you can come up with a heatshield for it, and make it a CAI. That can be done fairly inexpensively. If you still have your stock resonator, take that out to help open it up a bit more. And to give you a louder exhaust sound There are Jet chips available, but that involves much more money. Even adding another transmission cooler will help, in addition to the stock one.

Your intake and exhaust are the only power-adders in that list. The rest are just tuneup items. It'* hard to say, but you've probalby added 15-25hp, and equal torque. Alot depends on how much money you're willing to spend from this point.

Moving this to Performance and Brainstorming.

Nitrous at this point may be the most bang for the buck, but it'* limited use, mostly illegal on roads, and not all the time.

I'd say your next big area would be heads/valvetrain.

Its so sad that all the L27 and the previous l67'* are so unresponsive to mods compared to some of todays engines.

Most of you l27 bonne owners can dump 1000$ into your cars and still run high 15'*, just like the regal.

Your best bet would be nitrous.

Uh the L27 is VERY responsive to mods. There are no bolt on mods though, you have to make them yourself.

Running Series I fast isn't hard at all you just have to find your own options.

Show me an N/A l27 that runs 14'* with an auto tranny in the Bonne or the Regal......

...........?????

Just look at club gp with all the 3.1l GP'*. They put hundreds into there engines and still run 16'*!!! There lucky if they hit 15'*.

The lack of aftermarket support for us sucks absolute crap......
