Please tell me what you guys think of these two intakes.
Please only post if you have actual knowledge of them and considerable arguements.

It would be helpful to be more specific and post links to what you're asking us to compare.

Well to start off this debate, not having owned one but the most obvious things I can point out would be that its much better to have a flexible hose being that even with a solid mounted engine on a 00+, there is still considerable engine movement in WOT situations. Its best to be using a flexible hose. Another very obvious thing that could occur is that with a solid appendage off the engine like that, there will be quite alot of vibration that could cause unwanted rattles if the rigid metal tube comes in contact with anything else in the engine bay. Not to mention that in the other thread about cold air intakes, it has been mentioned that this particular setup has caused severe KR in one case. Other than that, is this a CAI and not an FWI? If its not an FWI, the INTENSE FWI has a very obvious clear advantage.

i have the JMB on my car and there is no rattling or anything bumbing around. the kit comes with a thick rubber edging to put around the fenderwell hole so that it doesnt rub or scratch against it. doesnt matter how much the engine moves cuz the part that goes thru the fenderwell has a flex coupler and has plenty of movement.and how does a smoother tube that is powdercoated on the outside to keep it cooler not perform as good as a bumpy rubber tube? and the smoother intake produces KR? that doesnt make sense to me.

Keep in mind taht it only happened once.
Like someone else said it fluke, or just a mistake during installation.

So if I were to get the JMB intake, would I get the one or two piece?

you would want the 2 piece.....

but keep in mind there is 1 JMB compared to at least 40 Intense FWI'* here on this club...

and BTW the Intense Tubing is not rough on the inside, its actually quite smooth

well i got the "feel better" factor in because i felt like i got wut i paid for when i got the kit in a nice huge box. everything was tightly wrapped in bubble wrap and packaged very professionally. came with a brand new in the box factory sealed K+N. for almost the same price i like the JMB better. im not sayin the Intense is bad or anything. plenty of people have it and love it with a nice performance gain. the JMB just floats my boat a lil better. LOL

Are you are saying you felt that you got what you paid for because of a big box and bubble wrap?

Considering the track record of the JMB prototype unit on this Forum, and the fact that the only member currently running one hasn't scanned, I'd say the nod still goes to the INTENSE FWI hands down.

Keep in mind, the only way to truly convince anyone that the JMB doesn't have any more problems is to let some members poke over it and scan it.

I have two different types of intakes on my cars. An ADTR prototype CAI on one car, and an INTENSE FWI on the other. From what I've seen and heard, I give both the advantage over the JMB for the time being. Both are proven performers. The JMB isn't yet.
