Default Fuel pump rewire

I bought the fuel pump rewire kit from ZZP Onhttp://www.zzperformance.com/grand...=177&catid=108 I also went on www.easyperformance.com to find out where is the fuel pumps supplied voltage coming from to have this installed, in the kit they only show it for the Grand Prixs. If someone can take picture to show me where its exactly at. :?:

Brian...please elaborate. What is it that you need pictures of? The fuse box and battery would be the supplies of power to the fuel pump before any modules etc.

We probably need some of the instruction wording to help you find the proper connections.

BTW, I recently had an Intense Hotwire kit and it is a plug and play situation. Very nice, no splicing or fighting.

I dont see how you would benifit that on a 2000+ bonnie. the distance from the fuel pump wiring to the battery is VERY short since its about 1 foot away from the battery. ( I'm pretty sure the wiring is several feet, but nowhere near the GP which has a front mounted battery)

I'm also not 100% what you want pictures of

here is the fuel pump relay...its located in the fuse box undneath the rear seat...

For those that haven't researched the fuel pump hotwire kits.

It runs direct 12V current through larger than stock wiring to the fuel pump.

Quoted from Intense'* site
"It’* a known fact that a weak link in tuning your supercharged 3800 is the inadequate fuel pump wiring system. When you install a higher capacity fuel pump, you place a greater demand on the wiring to the pump. Voltage drop in excess of 2 volts has been observed due to the factory'* wiring being unable to pass sufficient current to the pump."

Quoted from ZZP'* site
"The Easy Performance fuel pump rewire kit was designed to replace the anemic stock 18 gauge wiring. Most GTPs are losing between 1.5 and 2 volts to the stock pump because of line losses in the wiring. Since our fuel pumps are positive displacement rollervane pumps, this matters A LOT! Flow is directly proportional to fuel pump speed which is directly proportional to applied fuel pump voltage. Upgrading your fuel pump wiring will give you quite a bit more headroom with your stock pump. New Gen 2 version comes with extra wire and instructions for running new wire all the way to the factory relay. This is an optional install method for those looking to eliminate 100% of the voltage drop. Original kit instructions are still included for quickers installs (original method eliminates over 90% of voltage drop)

This kit upgrades your power and ground, look for 1-1.5 volt increase at the pump. Uses factory connector so there is no need to cut wires at the pump. It will not affect pump life and does not increase alternator load. Once installed it'* totally hidden. No worries about taking your car to the dealer for warranty work.

Real world testing shows increases of 2-3 psi max fuel pressure. Stock injectors usually fall off in the 310-320WHP range, 42#'* around 340-360. This kit increases those numbers by about 10%. This of course depends on the year of your car and many other factors but that gives you an idea of what to expect. "

Under the passenger side of the dash board there are a few plugs. On the installation kit guide it says that the one of those wires (GRAY) supplies the fuel pump. There is only one gray wire under there with about 5.1 volts coming out. I just want to make sure that, gray wire is the correct wire.
GO under www. easyperformance.com then click Install Instructions, and then go to 97-03 W-Body Fuel Pump Rewire and you'll see what i'm talking about. THANKS

Brian..that'* the problem. You are not a W body.

Let us find you the right fuel pump module ?

All I get at easyperformance is a crappy message saying the page is being updated. Not so easy are they I'll check back in a few minutes.
