Trans Dipstick
So... I looked at dans how to install headers thread and decided what the hell i tried to do it. It took me like 7 hours to finish... Things just werent fitting and it was so hard to take the manifolds off with hand tools that i bought at advanced auto for 14 bux lol. So all thats left is to connect the EGR tube that doesnt look like it lines up but im sure it will tomorrow. THE MAIN PROBLEM IS the trans dip stick :( it wouldnt go in its like an almost horizontal angle and i couldnt get it in. My dad and i managed to bend it a bit and i felt it slide into the hole where the trans dipstick is supposed to go. I felt it slide in a good 2 inches give a bit maybe... but when i went to work and came back home there was fluid all over the floor :( So im guessing the tube didnt go in (we refilled with a quart of fluid after the tube went in) What can i do? it felt like it went in i went to go see it now and theres a steady drop coming out. Its about 1 drop every minute, but it adds up and a good ammounts on the floor.. what can i do? the dipstick was bent so maybe i should leave it like this meanwhile while i try to get a bent dipstick? Where can I buy a pre- bent dip stick for a 2000 pontiac bonneville using SSAC headers?

had the same problem installing my headers on my GP, i tried to bend it myself it ended up cracking.
you can buy the pre bent ones from ZZPerformance thats where i got mine from years ago
also as for the EGR i had mine deleted. so i didnt have to connect it

i know they used to offer the bending service
so if you can find one on ebay get it shipped there and they will bend it for a small free
try calling them, i know my brother went that route when he did his 06

You need a W body dip stick. But I'm really thinking you didn't crack the tube, you ripped the rubber seal on the transmission. I did the same thing. I have a box of seals if you need one.

Yep.. W body tube is all you need. Since all the headers were designed for W bodies.. that'* your fix. About $15 at a dealer or $5 at a junkyard.

Well.. ya see it might come with a seal. It might not though... Since you didn't mention where you are getting it, I'm kinda guessing that it might? lol
If you get one from the JY, reach down and grab the seal. Usually it won't go intot he trans. just pull them out and you are all set.
