If you are going to start modding, you need a scanner that will read knock retard. A basic first step is a smaller diameter pulley on the supercharger, along with a cold air intake and headers. Then, you will need a tune to support the mods.

Read each of the sections in the performance section of the GM General Tech Info area of this forum.

okay but what diameter am i at now and what should i go too and do i need to do anything special after the smaller diameter and where do i get a scanner like that and do you know any good tunning companys

You are at 3.8" and can safely go to 3.5". As I said, you will also want to install a cold air intake and headers to support the higher flow rates. There are guys on this forum who can tune for you.

Start by reading this guide. https://www.gmforum.com/performance-brainstorming-tuning-96/what-order-should-i-mod-my-engine-278662/

Where are you located? You can get some modding done, but will then need a tune. Speed daddy headers are a good low price option for headers. As stated, no smaller then a 3.5" pulley until your scanning for KR. A simple shift kit will also do wonders.
