Things have been pondered in the past, I'm sure. I'm just wondering about the general concept of putting power to the rear wheels. I was thinking it would be fairly easy with a Firebird or Camaro rear axle and perhaps driveshaft, if the wheelbases are the same. Does my 94 SSEi have similar/equal wheel distance measurements to RWD cars? I'm not sure if Holden would be a solution to this because the importing would probably be fairly costly.

Aside from Holden, what else would be a fairly easy fit, regardless of the fabrication because mentioning such things would actually be helpful. Please just let me know if the very bottom of the 92-99 Bonneville chassis was used on any RWD car. Thanks a lot!

I've figured you could use an AWD 4T65 which might be a little easier but that may not give you what you want

It should be noted that GM did this, and there is an article on it if you search around. one thing that should be noted is that GM had to extend the front of the car 6 inches, used the caprice floorboard, and a modified Holden Rear End. It'* not quite as simple as taking a caprice frame and dropping a bonneville onto it.

Well, this is getting too helpful. Obviously, there'* a simpler way that can be spoken of vaguely. I've seen an Olds 88 at a Junkyard, not sure of which year, that has the exact same floorboard as the 92-99 Bonnevilles do. I looked at all the bolt patterns, and if I had a column shifter, I could easily take those dark blue, smelly Oldsmobile leather seats and put them in my Bonneville.

My friend'* 86 Oldsmobile 98 Regency seems to have either the exact same or a very similar body style. These, however, are all FWD vehicles. Is there any RWD car that uses the Bonneville'* floorboard as well? I thought a Camaro or Firebird might do it. Actually, is a Bonneville body longer than a Camaro'* so that I may take a Firebird/Camaro floorboard and weld a Bonneville to it?

No RWD car shared the floors with the bonneville. The chassis was designed as a FWD chassis, and does not have some of the provisions you would need for a RWD.

You could however adapt whatever you'd like to it to make it RWD. I know that there was a RWD monte Carlo (95-99) that they used the firewall and other parts from a camaro, but the cars were similar in design for the front of the car. It included a lot of cutting and welding though, and a lot of hours engineering it.
