Does this 0-60 seem right?
I figured about an 8.5 0-60 on my '87 stock motor stock everything, minus the cat convertor. Has the N10 muffler. Does this seem right? Or average at least?

yup the older generation bonnies are in the 9'*... Our older H bodies were more for torque than anything... My 95 is a diffrent animal as compared to my 91..

I dunno. The 87' unless fitted with 3.33 gearing goes from 0-60mph around 10 sec. With the 3.33 9 sec is possible. My grandma had a 87' Bonny and it was snappy off the line but after 40mph it just seemed to die out. It had LOW miles. I'm talking 45K in 2002. Then in 2003 my cousins decided to tow 3000lbs with it at 72K and fried the tranny. It then went to the junkyard.

Yeah those were good torque motors.... Loved them for what they were...
The 3.33 didn't come in the bonneville untill 89... Before that it was either 2.73, 2.84 or 2.97.... Depends on the bonneville she had too... If it was an LE than it may have had the 2.84 gearing... It also could have been an LE with the SE Package, I think most of the SE'* had the 2.97 ratio...

I believe mine has the 2.73. I have my personal RPO code list at home, that'* where it'* written down. I don't 100% trust it though because the car has had a used transmission put in, and on the reciept it says "install used 440-t4 transmission, CUSTOMER SUPPLIED". So who knows it may not be what the stocker was.

But it could be any gear ratio....
Does the car seem more peppy than it should be? Could be a 2.97.... I loved the 2.97 trans in the 88-91 bonnies... The 3.33 was fun too, but the 3800 was not high strung like the 2.8 and 3.1'* that were attached to a 3.33 trans... I always felt that the 2.97 was the best all around gear ratio for the LG3 and LN3 engines...

Well i double checked, mine originally was an RPO FP3, which is a 2.73. I know it'* got a 4 pin plug, so it'* from another '87. What is there on the trans that can tell me the final drive that it was BUILT with? I know there should be a label somewhere.
