hey guys this is all just hypathetical there isn't enough technology in a roots blower would ever allow 22 psi. i was just trying to figure out what would happen and how to prevent the problems if magicly the factory blower could make that kind of boost. these sugar plums and nonrealitys filling my head are just my own thoughts sadly enough.

The Eaton rotor groups are tested to 20000rpm The ~14000rpm design limit is based on diminishing returns from heat. (The added heat hurts you as much or more than the added air helps.)

As far as not flying appart is concerned, I don't know if Eaton or Magnuson have tested beyond 20000rpm. The test speed is far enough past the rated speed to make it point less to go higher, unless they just like destroying stuff.

I will be spinning beyond the factory test limit this summer. Based on my 'Jet' redline of 6000 rpms:

Based on a crank pulley diameter of 6.9", my 2.2" pulley is spinning at 18,800 rpms.
My summer 'track' pulley will probably be a 2.0" pulley, and will spin at 20,700 rpms.

 :eek!:

Mine will spin only a max of 15,000. rpm with the 3" pulley and a 6.9" crank pulley.

Yessir. I've been over 18,800 rpm's for almost 3 years now.

2.0" pulley club is insane isn't it! ;)
