high idle

Hi guys. I've been driving around town in my 2000 pontiac bonneville sle with idle around 800 to 1100 and its top swapped its been top swapped for over a year now so I don't think the problem is that. Sometimes it goes down to 6 or 700 that's when it feels normal and at800 and 900 its tolerable but over 1100 it bucks when I brake and its super frustrating. I think it might be a vaccum leak but I haven't found one and I carb cleaned the tbs or whatever that sensor is called or idle motor? Before I cleaned it it would idle from 2000 to 2500 on rare occasions when this would happen the car would shift the transmission on its own and cruise upto 45 mph by itself then braking would make the car buck harshly please help thank you

No check engine light or anything?

If you have access to a laptop with scanner, check your TPS sensor.

Nope no check engine light :/ and I have the torque app for my phone it sees no codes what would I check for to see if the tps is acting up?

At idle, you should see the PCM seeing 0%. You can do this with the engine off/power on. Just gently push the throttle down to 100% and watch the display. The numbers should not jump around.

Sounds like a bad TPS to me, I'ld take a timing gun to her also

(Skip to the part where they break out the voltage meter)
