MSD coils
What difference do the MSD coils make, and if you switch to these do you need to do other mods ? What coils would be best for my 97 SSEi ?

Your SSEi already has hotter coils than most. 97 and newer L67'* got them. See Techinfo for more information. I doubt you'd see the difference in performance. For the earlier cars, a slight increase in midrange accelleration and slightly smoother idle can be vaguely felt.
If your coils are good, it'* not worth the cost.

That uses the old Magnavox packs. No thanks.
But that'* really not on topic, is it? Let'* try to be a little more practical and stick to what the topic author has asked.

Oh, the "on topic" part to keep this all legal. Talked to the MSD folks at Norwalk this weekend (Sorry Summit, it'll ALWAYS be Norwalk to me) and the MSD guys said their coils were not a direct stock replacement, and that I might experience problems if I did so as they were designed to run off an MSD box. Coulda been marketing hype...but in any case, he didn't instill any confidence in me to want to switch to their coils anytime soon.
