High Flow Cat / Quick ?

Iv'e looked in the forums and havent got a great understanding on the idea between a high flow cat vs resenator vs muffler???

RIght now I have a 80 series flowmaster muffler... From my understanding it appears as thought the high flow cat helps the exhaust breath better, therefor adding power... is it crucial to have a high flow cat? and if so what brand and if possible and part numbers? I know the techinfo says for supercharged models to get a 3" in and out.....

anyways could someone explain the pros and cons to having a cat:shock:

Cat: it is for emissions...YOU NEED IT
Resonator: makes exhaust quieter, and sometimes less raspy

a cat will not add power...it will restore the power that you lost with the current cat on the car....and many of members have noticed no difference in Performance with a highflow unit over the stock one that was on the car
