Default Ignition Coils?

Well, come spring I am going to be doing a lot of stuff to the Bonnie. So, I am going to get some of the NGK plugs, some 8mm wires, and perhaps new ignition coils. I have a few questions for you on the coils first though.
Where can I get them?
How do they help?
Would I gain anything?
What are some of better brand names for these?
What model(*) do I go with?

I would appreciate any and all help.

your stock coils are fine unless there is a problem with them. You could get a set of GM ones off of a 97+ series II */C....they are said to have a greater spark or MSD ones. But the MSD put out the same as the stockers

MSD Coils put out about the same as the 97+ */C Coils. I would think the aftermarket coils make a little more power.. but you won't notice it. The MSD coils are a little cheaper versus purchasing the 97+ */C coils [new that is]. Personally, i'd buy the MSD Coils.. or the like. I have some Accel coils, but I heard they are prone to failure [mine have been fine so far].

You can purchase the new 97+ */C Coils from gmpd, or search junkyards. The MSD'* can come from Summit or Jeg'*. Summit has free shipping.. and I believe the price is the same..

So will these MSD coils work for my 93 SE? And would they be PN 8224?

Yes. The only year questionable is '92, where they had some Delco, and some Magavox ignition systems. If you have three individual coils, on only the right side.. you have Delco, and you are all set.
