Default got the 1.9'*

well, i got my 1.9:1 rocker arms on. coupled w/ 105# valvesprings and 5500rpm shifts there is almost no noticeable gain. however, i'm sending my pcm to DHP to be flashed today. so, ok, three things:
- i've been told that 6200rpm shifts would be about right w/ the 105'* but 3800performance disagrees and says 6000-6100 :?:. what do you all think?
- also, the boost went down about 1.5 or 2psi. so, i thin k i'm gonig to recoup that w a 3.3 modular system. sounds good huh?
- finally, i have a diabolical scheme that i think just may work . my front 02 sensor has been screwed for a while. so, what about a 3.0-3.1 pulley and some race gas at the track? that i think would be terribly awsome

If your O2 is that bad. You are probably getting a restriction problem from the plugged catalytic that you need to replace.

You don't notice any more midrange punch? Mine really pics up after 3K now. Even with the stock PCM. Ooops, my bad. Just noticed you have a plugged cat. Thats why. You need to replace that before all else.

I believe that a decrease in Boost PSI May be a good thing because you are moving more air and not stacking the boost.....

Where'd that sig come from? Anyone see it before I posted?

O2 being bad should cause you to run rich (usually the way they fail). I'm thinking you should get more punch from the rockers as well.

i think that i should come back up to about 10-11psi because its not a huge jump in flow w/ the 1.9'*, especially because of the 105'*. the only reason i didn't go w/ the 90# LS6 springs is because they dont work with the '96-'97 heads :(. a little more boost at this level of moding shoudn't be any problem just as long as i can stay out of KR .

Please run that last one by us again. Your message was somewhat garbled and tough to understand.

You want to shift so your MAF readings are the same during the shift. So lets say at 6000rpm your MAF readings are 9500, and then lets say it drops to 4000rpm and at 4000rpm your MAF readings are also 9500, that would be a good place to shift. (these numbers are completely made up)

Your best shift point would be with identical MAF readings, because if the engine is taking in the same amount of air then it should be making basically the same amount of power.

When we had 1.9 rockers in the GTP we shifted at ~6250 or so, it also had 85lb. springs not 105'*.
