Air Intake... Check! (56k warning... you know what...)
Got it put together!
and before anyone says anything about a heat shild, its coming SOON!
Before i started
Had the parts layed out
More room in there then i thought there would be... cool!
All clamped down
Much better looking under the hood now
Soo much better then THIS!
Thanks to all those who helped me find the right parts and good prices... this went together with NO problems at all. by far the most painless mod i've ever done.

oh my GOD! now i know what everyone means by being addicted to the whine! my buddy swears i'll have a ticket by the end of the week.. (i don't plan on it...)
i don't feel a HUGE difference, but maybe i was expecting too much from it. but, it does sounds like its breathing much better. i didn't do much driving with it do to only fumes in the tank. i'll be sure to test it out on the way in tomorrow... see how i can get up to expressway speeds! (on the expressway of course)
have a few concerns with it though... they are addressed here though

Ok, just some questions reguarding the install though...
I have a few Q'* again...
1) Oval filter, have the longer axis of it be vertical or horazontal?
2) Air temp sensor wires are too short, figuered as much... do i splice in more wire or just leave it pluged into the tube?

Make it vertical. Those of us with the double washer bottle (for the headlights) HAVE to do it that way. That'* why I went after this filter when K&N was developing it (pre-release) in the first place. For you, vertical will give you more room for a heat shield.
Solder the IAT wires to make them longer. Insulate them well. Heat shrink tubing is best after soldering.
