INTAKE Mod.#2 --- Straight in Shot !!
Well, I told you guys and gals I was iimpatient waiting for an aluminum CAI pipe, so I decided to try something different from the usual for my 2000 SSEi.
Next I'll be working on a new SilverBullet heat shield.

nice. No turbulence on that bad boy. Now you need a heat shield or maybe some ram air ducts going into the front of that filter. Should be nice with those new headers too

Damn!!!! That looks really nice. Its a very effective straight shot. That is what I used to have on my Grand AM. Only problem is heat. Build that shield quickly.

Ah, remember Mr. Big Shot has ceramic coated headers now, so heat wont be as bad as it would be with the stockers. Still, get a shield for that baby, or something to keep it away from the Xover pipe.

There it is now with the special SilverBullet heat shield.
Notice that the Intake Air Temperature sensor has not yet been installed. Where would you guys recommend I put it :?:
I have a 4" diameter ram air duct leading into the cool air chamber through the fender opening.
Could I plug it into the fender or does it need to be in the filtered pipe :?:

I would say in the pipe, you dont want road crap getting on it, and it will be more accurate. Is there a place on your filter where you can make a hole? idk about drilling a hole in rubber, someone else will have to chime in on that. Thats probably the coolest cover on here (no pun intended) and clubGP hands down! I was hoping you would keep it.

The rubber connector is made of Chlorobutyl Rubber and connects to the throttle body and my * & B Power Stack 4" inlet x 7" Cone.
The heat shield is made from hardware store Reflectex Aluminum coated plastic bubble insulation.
I decided to try hanging the IAT down the ram air hose. I never drive in dirty or wet conditions so I'm not concerned about dirt.
