88* (again) 17.8* Advance ***With*** 2-3* KR
Nate'* back in town today with his scanner (sorry Nate, I wish I'd looked closer at your mani'* after I picked them up from the shop -the unwelded cracks make me sick. Hope the new ECC helps to make up for the somewhat wasted trip).
I installed the E-prom that Nytro67 had custom burned and after only 2-3 miles I was seeing up to 17.8* advance(!) *with* 2-3* KR. Does this mean it'* still running stock L27 timing advance, but my car is tuned to run approx. 16-17* efficiently? :?:
Also, on the last drive with the stock L67 chip I kicked it down at 10-15 MPH and at 3500'ish rpms the car would all of the sudden just take off -literally pulled a LOT harder than I ever recalled. Literally pulled like I'd never felt it pull before. Wish I had the scanner on when it did that so I could see some of the parameters.
A little less power now than before I put the new e-prom in, but I've only got like 8 miles on it so far.

Also, as I noted, when it really was acting like I fully expected it to act like all the time with the current mods (the insane power trip in the high rpms) it was still running on the original chip.
New/temporary chip (while mine is out being reprogrammed) seems to be a little better, ****so far****.

I'm not being harsh here, but I think you're making a big mistake running such a suspect piece of crap chip of unknown programming and origin in your car that has been proven to be questionable in 2 other cars.
Get it out of there.
Get it out of there.

Your timing advance went DOWN...not up....It didn't hit 17.8, my scanner for some reason just defaults to that when it kick out of live mode. The highest I actually saw was about 13* and some change advance, but it was also really stable around 3* advance.
As for your drivablility, I didn't notice anything different, but I've also only been in your car like twice now LOL.
