6hp is still 6hp right?

Not when you're running the wrong PCM with the wrong engine and the wrong injectors, and have no scantool.

What exactly is a "happy knob"? This is the first I've heard of one on this forum.

Considering the number of people that have butchered car parts and not followed my advice in the past, due to trying to copy things I do, I think I'm in a position to be the judge on that one. Particularly when the modification requires tapping directly into the PCM wiring harness.

Besides, it won't work for your car. If you read the topic linked, you'll know that. You have a MAP sensor tied to the PCM. My MAP sensor is not. It only provides a boost indication.

Have you ever noticed how many people here try to tackle a complicated problem or project without a FSM? That's part of the problem here. Nobody should even CONSIDER this mod without already owning a FSM. If you have it, and don't understand how to do the happy knob, it's an indication that you shouldn't.

For those that understand, it's safe to say they have the skills to pursue it. This is one of those unique things that you shouldn't attempt unless you PERSONALLY fully understand it, how it works, why it works, and how to do it, not to mention already owning a scantool and FSM.
