Got my 1st mod for my L67 build up

I call it my tranny saver mod.

It is a 3.4 press on thraser pulley. I figured i would stay with a bigger pulley until i get a fully built tranny lol. I got a good deal on it so i had to buy it. And since it was press on that would prevent me from switching it quickly lol.

Plans are

L67 swap (obviouly) (ordering sometime this winter, or early spring)
XP (since motor will be out) (order those goodies probably this winter, or tax time)
Probably go with a used set of TOGs (or pray pacesetters improve some qaulity by then)
P&P blower and lower
Powertuner
3.4 press on
FWI

Probably will be it for a little while. I want to get the NA build finished and hit the track first but that isnt happening til spring lol. But with the money i will have stored this winter i wil by the swap, and FWI. Then tax time, cam, headers. Just figured i would throw this out there kinda soon lol

wow lots of project youre gona need a big wallets $$$$$$ .i think i should hit the track on friday for last time also

Well my NA build is just about done. I have the TB sitting right here and the pcm (gmtuners) is in the making. Just tweaks and what not for that. And a highflow cat, but with the price of a stock cat for recycling the high flow isnt going to cost me much.

As for the L67 build, yea it will hurt the wallet. But the swap in really the only money i will have in it, well and minor things like FWI, pulley, tuner (not really minor thought lol). The cam, and headers is just money the government owes me lol. So i am hoping it will not break the bank lol.

Yea, we are going up friday also with chads bonne.

Sell the press on. Unless you own a puller it's more of a hinderance than anything else. I made that mistake once. But own a puller. ;) 3.4 is almost automatically too large for a cammed car.

It's not quite like the Series 1 where it's a quick nut and tap away from falling off. In his area there isn't any real GP modaholics or anyone else with a puller.

It makes sense and he can sell it easily.

TJ clearly stated his reason for going the difficult route.

If you get the Pacesetters from ZZP they have modified the Y-pipe to prevent leaking . Other than that I wouldn't expect any improvements from Pacesetter.

Bill, i got a super deal on the pulley and with it, it will prevent me from automotically going to a stupid small pulley and making my tranny cry. I paid 10 bucks for the pulley and 10 bucks to ship it to me lol. So i couldnt say no. Plus i figured i would leave it on to i get a fully built tranny (would be like summertime). Then i could sell it buy an MPS setup and be done with it lol. I know the work a press on takes and that is why i bought it, cause once i get it on there it is staying until i get tranny money.

Olds, that is true. More then likely i will just buy the ZZP ones and be done with it, unless i get a nice deal on a set of used slp's or togs.

I am going to start buying things now, as i see a good deal, i am going to snag it up. It will save me a few dollars in the end.
