Default Coolant plug

Has anyone used the TB coolant plug by easy performance? Would it be worth getting?

I assume you mean this to be a Performance question? I'll move the topic to Performance and Brainstorming for you. General Chat is for Bonneville topics that are not mechanical problems or performance related.

This may or may not answer your question:

Read down a bit on page 1 until you hit my images.

From what I read in the post, most of the info is for a SC 3800. I have a NA 3800. Does the plug in any way help reduce the temps around the UIM? Or is it unrelated?

The SC tends to run HOTTER. So it'* less of a problem on an L36. The temp of the TB has very little to zero effect on performance. Think about the velocity of the air going through the TB, and how much time it really has to pick up any latent heat from the TB?

Those ports are there primarily to keep your throttle plate from icing up on cold starts in the winter.

From my testing, I see no real benefit EXCEPT to a car that runs ONLY at the track.
