Motor Mounts
What motor mounts do you guys run ? Since I did all my mods my engine is twisting
the original style rubber mounts pretty bad. I know even though they are new they are going to break ... soon. Is there a high performance alternative ?
You guys running at the track must deal with this right ? I can fab up something solid but I'm worried about the knock sensor picking up driveline harshness.
Any ideas ? Am I just paranoid ? I have visions of that 3800 doing flips under the hood.

You will always have slight engine movement.. mine moves maybe an inch or so when in gear and brake torquing, and maybe 1/4" when not in gear.

So, all the modded guys here except for WillWren run stock rubbers ?
I know the engine moves a little but Im smashing the shazbot out of the bottom one when I nail it. I got a buddy that actually runs a chain from a rubber mount with an eye bolt. Works great but looks bad. The tranny is a concern also. I don't want to snap an input shaft. I had solids on my 5.0. they worked great but were really harsh. The noodle Mustang frame eventually gave way.

I'm running stock mounts and mine does this:

(all mounts are in good condition, too. This is in D with the brake on, revving to 3000)
When you find polyurethane replacment mounts, let me know

I'm running a solid front mount, I'll look at the KS thing next time I drive the car.
www.p-*-t.com They've probably got something that will be able to be made.
If you're just looking for something to bolt on, The 94 SSE I dismantled had a "shock" of sorts on the mount, which I didn't think to save. Had the same bolt pattern as my 93, So I assume it would work for 92.

Yeah, they do move quite a distance. I'd like to get down to 1/2 the movement.
