I use an AC delco, but the site mentions mobile 1 as the best 'money is no object' filter.

What does everyone else use :?:

I read that article a while back, after reading it i tried AC Delco. I have used Fram for years but this last oil chage I flushed my engine and went with an AC Delco, and I am hooked. Even after 3500 miles my oil still has color other than BLACK. I was usually using the Double Gaurd from Fram and there is not contest between The Fram and AC Delco.

**Note: According to article, he'* not tested the Amsoil filter as of yet** I stand by my Amsoil SDF Filter, not only because I sell them, but because I believe them to be the very best out there for your money. Not only do they have a better longevity life between changes, but they have superior filtering capabilities as well. Believe me as I have tried just about EVERY Filter & Oil product out there in my 23 years of driving cars. I've also ran & operated two lube shops too in my life, therefore I've changed more vehicle'* oil than just about any other person around. The reason I got into selling Amsoil products to begin with, was I liked the products so much, I decided to sell them to others & share my expierences with them.

yes I had noticed that the amsoil had not yet been tested, do you have any test data for your filters? Filter type, length, construction type.?

As for the delco parts I use it has more to do with availability than preference, we have a Chev dealer in town but no Canadian Tire (45 miles away). I went to the local Napa dealer yesterday and they wanted $17 for purolator filter.......sheeesh. Thats what got me looking in the first place.

In gasoline-fueled engines using AMSOIL XL-7500 Synthetic Motor Oil, change the filter at 7,500-mile or six-month intervals. If a Hastings or other filter is used, filter should be changed at manufacturer recommendations.

In diesel-fueled large truck engines, change the filter(*) at the engine manufacturer'* recommended oil change interval. In diesel-fueled light trucks, including pickups and vans, change the filter at 7,000-mile or six-month intervals.

When using an AMSOIL Oil Filter with conventional motor oils, refer to the owner'* manual for the recommended oil filter change interval.

What about K&N oil filters? Anyone here use those?

I use K&N and it'* great. I read an other article with more filters reviewed. K&N was right up there with the mobil 1.

I am currently trying my first Mobil1 filter... I will let you guys know how it turns out when I get it off and take a look at the oil.

i just bought a delco and havin gotten around to changin my oil yet. i was gonna do it tonight but my mom was being ignorant and demanded i wait till i had "help" from my dad and then when he got home he was too lazy to sit on the porch and "help" me.so ill have to wait i guess
