Default Performance exhaust system for 98 SSEi

Im new here guys so bear with me. I have a pulley on my Bonneville right now and now i need a new muffler. Would prefer a cat back system actually. Who makes a good cat back? If there are no kits who makes a muffler that could be used? Could some of you post me some pics of your systems? Also, i dont want anything too noisey or abnoxious i would prefer it to be just slightly louder than stock. Thanks. This board looks promising for me. Been looking for a message forum for a while.

No one makes a cat back system because our exhaust is mandrel bent stainless. Slap whatever f-body muffler you want on it (based on what your sound pref is). I put on an oem f-body replacement. It is louder than stock (slightly), but very pleasent in the cabin.

F-body mufflers will work? Sounds good to me if that is the case.

Please put your year and model in your signature. That way we don't have to ask what you have in your future posts.

Most here run F-body mufflers. Don't expect any performance improvement. Just sound improvement.

I wanted a fairly stock sound and stayed with an OEM replacement out of Rockauto. Gave me more sound with a high flow cat by Magnaflow..

Just the right amount of sound...

.....which won't work on his car. He has a single crossflow muffler. Not a Y setup like 2000 and newer.

Will the F-body muffler have to be for a V6 F body? I would assume yes.

It doesn't matter. 2.5" inlet, dual 2.5" outlets. Crossflow.

Inlet and one outlet on one side, outlet on the other side.
