Default CAI - fitment, looks and performance

Secret Weapon vs. Intense FWI. Have a 2005 SLE and can't decide which CAI to buy. I like them both, but is there an actual difference? I know most of you run the Intense - any feedback on the Secret Weapon CAI?

Almost everyone here will reccomend the Intense since it was designed for our vehicles. The secret weapon is a universal one that isn't optiminally designed. It may not be long enough to reach the coldest air (behind the headlight), and most certainly won't reach air as cold as in the fenderwelll. The 2000+ bonnies are very well shielded in the fender area to prevent debris from contacting the filter while still allowing the coldest air. Also, the Intense runs a K&N.... I am not sure what kind of filter is on the secret weapon but unless it is a reputable high flow filter (amsoil, k&N), I wouln't bother. Intense hands down.

If you are talking about the secret weapon that is on Ebay.... Save up your money for the Intense FWI.

That secret weapon intake will likely HURT your performance because it is just a filter inside the engine compartment that will suck in large amounts of heat from the radiator.

Most people run and recommend the Intense FWI for one reason, it works

Agreed.

Intense.

The Weapon intake is worthless junk IMO, just a rice ploy to make $$. Doesn't work as they say, and is ricey to boot. No such thing as a 15-20 HP gain from a crap intake like that.

The weapon intake is an absolute joke. Its' made for the 17-19 year old import tuner ricer crowd who are easily influenced to buy crappy parts with good marketing and a cool name.

INTENSE FTW in this comparison. There is no comparison.
