could have sworn opaque was like glass block, light went though but you couldnt distinguish an image....

The windows are there because of the placement of the side mirrors. They are set away from the front of the door so they are closer to the driver. If you try and put a full window in there the side mirrors are going to be sticking out in the middle of the window. Also you will have to put a stronger motor in the door because you are going to have to add a couple lbs of glass to do what you want.

Ya I know I always have a to but in. I have the same beef and have since I bought my Bonneville from my friend. I have a solution worked out but it has not been completed yet. It’s easy to solve but it is labor intensive.

You would have to modify the whole door. Like gut it and find a track that would move your new window and fit in your door. Also you have have to have a piece of glass cut with the right width and shape. you would need to take out the seperator and modi it to accept a window. Even after all of this your window would prolly not seat right and would prolly leak.
This = more trouble then its worth. |
I don’t like to tease but I can’t really share at this time. All I can say is its not quite as hard as some have explained.
The only hint I can give is, you need it to be strong as well considering the pillar actually has a function. Ty |
i'm not to concerned with the front windows as much as i am with the back. how can i get the rear window to roll down all the way or at least 4-6 inches more.
