SERIES 1 PERFOMANCE CAM
ok guys, i have done alot of looking and here is what i got. i contacted Oregon Cam Grinding and asked them about regrinding a cam for me. they said they have alot of different profiles for the hydr. roller cams and could fix me up. i went to NAPA and got a stock Clevite cam and sent it to them. talke to them tonight, it will be shipped to me tomorrow. they gave me what they came up with on the regrind.
here is the stock specs
LIFT AT VALVE:
Intake/ .403" Exhaust/ .405"
DURATION@.050":
Intake/ 181* Exhaust/ 190*
LOBE CENTERLINE:
115*
HERE IS WHAT THEY WERE AFTER THEY REGROUND THE CAM
LIFT AT VALVE:
Intake/ .478" Exhaust/ .478"
DURATION @ .050"
Intake/ 218* Exhaust/ 224*
LOBE CENTERLINE:
113*
you have to use pushrods that are .060" longer than stock
i cant wait to get this bump stick installed
TOTAL COST:
new clevite cam (NAPA) $109.00
shipping to OCG $14.00
reginding service $128.25
________
$251.25

Right across the Columbia river from me........An hour and a half tops (not counting for ice storms). Hmmmm.....Good find, and a pretty good price. Have you suggested volume production if it works out for you?

Will the PCM be able to handle it? What'* the rest of the valvetrain going to look like? I'm already getting valve float, so I at least need stronger springs. If I'm going to be in there anyway.........

small block chevy springs and retainers. light weight undercut, 1.770" intake/1.500" exhaust stainless SI valves. i was going to go with aftermarket roller rockers, but. i had a set of 94 roller fulcrum rockers here. i used the drill press at work and went from a 5/16" hole to a 3/8" hole then got 2"x3/8" socket grade 8 bolts and going to use the foller fulcrum rockers and trickflow custom pushrods.
also i have a afc 2.0 that i can calibrate my a/f ratio plus im adding a msd 6562 multi channel boost retard controller to set the timing as i need to

2 thoughts......were your stock pushrods dimpled? Just curious. Trying to nail down the valvetrain changes from 92-93.
Second thought. Scroll back up through this thread. Look at those engines
