Exhaust wrap

I was thinking about wrapping my stock exhaust from the front manifold to a little after the crossover, would this produce any adverse affects?

Exhaust wrap tends to attract moisture unless it's sealed. And the heat it keeps in may be enough to crack your front cast exhaust manifold.

Thats kind of what I was worried about.
