Well im getting things together for the top swap! woot lol. Yeah so, im a complete noob and have been advised not to do this swap since ive never opened an engine before. It seems easy but maybe its cause it looks easy on the forum from the pros? I was talking to SAWGUNNER on the phone and he told me to ask you guys... I wanted to know whats up with my SC? I see the gasket is stuck on one part... is it normal to have a gasket stick to the LIM? I cant rip it off cause its pretty much stuck its prolly sealed really tight? And whats up with those white calcium like deposits in those holes? (its on the left side in the pic i posted)



Sorry for the crappy pics and this kit was from morads ebay page 3800 Supercharged Top Swap Kit Supercharger GS GTP SSEI:eBay Motors (item 350255450066 end time Dec-20-09 07:55:25 PST) I got the SC the LIM a bunch of gaskets and bolts the 2 wire adaptors im going to need a HD diff the cover and the shaft for the hd upgrade on the transe. There are alot of various things that came with it and morads says its ready to install right when it comes.


If its not too much should i take a pic off all the items and see if im truely ready to install the SC? BTW in the pic the SC has no metal lines on it cause it took it off ... its wierd i know but i left the SC in my room i like to look at it and the lines smelled like gas lol.

Let me start of by mentioning that if you got it from Ed and the guys, it'* complete and it'* good.

The white spots are oxidized aluminum gasket. Peel it off the lower intake and clean the intake. Any gasket that is on the manifold needs to be cleaned. Try not to nick the metal of the item you are cleaning. But clean the surface.

Most guys use scrapers, razors etc to clean these things.

Please take pics of everything they sent you. From there I can tell better if anything else is needed. Most likely you need a throttle body adapter and personally...I'd choose a different throttle body while you were already going all the way.

Okay so i tool all the pics i think i got it all the only thing missing is the metal wires that go on the SC (fuel rails?) and the injectors with some metal tab/brackets theyr ein the back cause they smell like gas. I would have put the pics earlieer but i joined an american top team w0000t ^.^ many months of fun to come
