Default Programmer for 00+ Bonneville

Hi everyone, i am looking for a PCM programmer to change a few things here and there on my 01 SSEi. If anyone knows of any that are made for this car, please forward anything that might help. Thanks

Programers are not cheep. This is what I use. HPTuners.com >> Performance At Your Fingertips $500 and worth every penny. There are others, I think they are called deablo or something like that, a friend had it. It'* a hand held unit and a bit hard to work with. If all you want is a few changes, your better off having it done by someone else. Tuning is hard work and takes a LONG time to learn.

It does not list your car. Each car is a little different. My guess is it wont work on your SSEi

Yea i see that. It doesn't even have the Grand Prix on the list. Wow. I don't see how they don't just make a programmer that would work on all SAME TYPE engines ( like the L67 or L32 ) You know!! I was looking for a hand held one as well but it seems like i don't have much options as of now, huh?!!

I own an HPT (MPVI version $650) and feel it is well worth it. Have seen and operated a DHP Pwer Tuner (no longer produced) and those are nice because almost all GM V6 is unlocked.

The HPT is a nicer view, easier to work with and overall better tool.

Currently I have 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004 unlocked on my HPT with ability to program any Bonneville pcm for those years. It is great when someone needs something done.

If you have a spare PCM, perhaps Bill could make the changes for you.

Wow. Bill you seem to be my best friend as now. j/k what will it take to have my PCM reprogrammed? What exactly do you do change? I can defiantly get my hands on a spare PCM and have one reprogrammed.

Get me a pcm (needs to be from a bonneville and the year you have) , tell me what changes you want to make and we can discuss cost. It really takes very little to make most of the changes you'll probably want.

Certain codes removed
overall they are quick and easy.
